I started making music under the name Winter Triangle at my home during the pandemic shutdown of 2020. Through jamming with friends over a two year period I started to figure out I had developed my own musical voice-that there was certain things that I wanted to hear in my music. Although I had played drums and percussion in bands since the early 2000’s where collaboration was key, this new music would be created with guitars and synths and would be written entirely by myself.

The inspiration for my music comes from astronomy, physics, and the feeling of eating edibles and wanting to listen to sounds while laying down.

I currently have three releases loosely classified under the ambient genre. Quality headphones are recommended for maximum enjoyment.

New Ambient July

Released July 2020 on all streaming platforms. Made with pedal steel guitar, a Korg Monologue, a 70’s Gibson electric guitar, and a pedal board dominated by reverbs. The cover is based on a photo I took of a lunar eclipse in 2019 from my porch.

Listen now on Spotify or Apple Music.

Headphone Headspace

This is a single featuring pedal steel, drones, and drum machine by my friend Leo Jones. This is essentially two songs, clocking in over 9mins long. The cover is a self portrait I took with a Holga.

Listen on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube.

Winter Triangle. Slice of Lightning.cover.jpg

Slice of Lightning

Largely recorded at the same time as New Ambient July, featuring Moog Synth and a Nash T-57. This cover is a photo I took in Pittsburgh during a snowstorm, of a mausoleum in Allegheny cemetery. I’m immensely proud of this album and the song sequence, flowing into one another.

Listen on Spotify or Apple Music.

GHOST PILLARS AND THE WAY WE FLY

Released in January 2022, GHOST PILLARS is a 3 song EP recorded in Portland, OR with soft synths, Moog Synth, as well bass and electric guitars.

The 3rd track, Huntington and Summerfield is a collaboration with Brian Loeffler aka theonetwoeq_view. The title comes from the respective subdivisions we both grew up in in the suburbs of Columbus.

Available now on Spotify, Apple Music, and Youtube.

Continuous Light

I’m so happy to bring this record to the world.
