Click here to watch the first short video I made in 2021, and one of my best overall.
Filmed at the beginning of June, water spirits were summoned and we let the rocks speak out for themselves.

I can’t express how much joy I feel after capturing a person’s essence, for creating a photo that will live with these people personally + professionally for years to come. The more pictures I take, the more I think headshots are some of the most challenging and most rewarding work.
There is so much to forget with these photos…a life I looked forward to that never existed, the love I felt 2,000 miles away that was farcical, the hurt from thinking you know someone at all. I also forgot to take photos of the grandest location I visited. As with any other point in my life the photos are all that remain, my feelings and expectations a tuft of smoke in the creases of my hand that I’m not sure was ever even there.
I released a new Winter Triangle record at the beginning of March called Slice of Lightning. Many of the tracks were recorded at the same time as my first album New Ambient July, during the pandemic shutdown of 2019. This album makes me think of the first human colonists on Mars and what their lives will be like. It’s the soundtrack to space…beauty and emptiness. You can find the record on Spotify here.
There was an interview and writeup of the record in the Columbus Alive, and these are photos I took of myself to accompany the article.
Sean Gleeson did an immense amount of work mixing, mastering, and even playing synth on some tracks. Much gratitude to him and his talents.
This was my first ever maternity shoot and I’m just delighted with how it came out. Virginia gave birth to a healthy baby one week after these pictures were taken.
