Christina

I had been trying to photograph Christina for almost a year since the first time we worked together. We made a plan to shoot at this abandoned city barn that snow plows were kept in, but upon arriving the area had been fenced off and we weren't really into getting arrested. We then went to Plan B, an empty hotel with red curtains....we were kicked out by a security guard. So feeling dejected and not knowing what to do, we came upon the Chinese Lantern Festival at the Ohio fairgrounds. We got in for free just by asking, and we tried to make something out of nothing. I'm really happy with how some of the photos came out!

Sophie's Pierogi for 614 Magazine

Sophie's is one of my favorite food trucks in Columbus, happy I could photograph them for 614 Magazine at their commissary kitchen in Groveport, Ohio. If you are in or around Columbus check this truck out for their solid, homemade pierogi and their rotating specials.

Cameron Alexander

This is Cameron, an artist and filmmaker from Cleveland, OH that I photographed yesterday in Columbus where we both live. I saw one of Cameron's films earlier this year at the Shot Tower Gallery and I was totally captivated by it's subject matter and visuals. Find his work here.

Garry Sexton for The New York Times

I photographed Garry in Portsmouth, OH on May 26th, 2017 for a story in The NYT about potential worker protections being rolled back during the first year of the Trump administration. Garry suffers from a chronic respiratory condition after being exposed to beryllium in the workplace.

Groovy Fuji Pop Up

I don't often post food photos on my website, but since it's a big part of my life recently, I thought I would share some photos from a recent pop up I photographed for Groovy Fuji, with Japanese inspired food/drink created by stalwarts of the food and beverage scene in Columbus.
